Yes Eed, it's true - English has become a very important language in the world of business and education. But did you know that at one time in history English and French 'competed' to be the official language of the world? In fact, in Africa today English and French are quite divided as the official language of each of its countries (as is Canada). The French have never been happy that 'English' became the dominant language, but I think that Bill Gates and Microsoft and the beginning of modern technology reinforced the status of English in the world. It is an interesting history, that's for sure!
