Nuclear energy

Nuclear energy is cheap and clean.  It is a solution to an energy crisis at a time when other forms of generating electricity are facing limits.  Already power plants have been in operation in a number of countries. These are successful examples to be followed.  And it comes as no surprise that more power plants are being built for peaceful use.  In all appearances, economic development need the improve of  nuclear energy.

Nuclear energy

Firstly and most importantly, nuclear energy is clean and very cheap more than coal and gas.it is widely accepted nuclear energy is clean so when people use it, the ozone will be protected. Moreover, when people stop using coal and gas will be less toxic fumes and CO2 will be reduced. In addition, governments can produce nuclear energy and sell it to other countries so they will develop their economy through it.

Nuclear power

Efficiency and infiniteness are both  major reasons for nuclear power energy usage. According to current statistics, as of 2012 over 25 countries have nuclear power plants in operation, including The US, China, as well as UK and Russia. Moreover, nuclear power usage illustrates an upward trend in many countries, because nuclear power could provide large number of energy support for a country. For example France had more than 70% share of electricity production in 2011. In addition, although the source of nuclear fuel is expensive, it is unlimited. Therefore the huge potential of nuclear power indicates the rise of nuclear usage.

Nuclear energy

Nuclear energy is the issue which all countries concentrate because it may povide many energy for the development of a country . However it exist a lot of risk for human health and environment. One of them and most riskly is the the leak of radiation. The terrible earthquake and tsunami in Japan is one of the examples for the leak of radiation.People expose to radioactive or contaminated food or water will increase the risk of cancer.  Moreover the danger can affect the next generations. Therefore if there are any accident, they can leave the terrible consequences.

Mobile phone

Mobile phone
The first point to bear in mind is that there is significant danger for human health related to mobile phone usage. There are many functions in the mobile phone for people usage, but many people who like use the functions of the mobile phone for a long time always has a bad health. This is because it can cause all cancers combined in mobile phone users, then people should be responsible for their health. People who use mobile phone for a long time always influence their sleep, because it will cause nervous excitation so people will feel very exciting and cannot easy to fall asleep.

social networking sites

Social networking sites have many communication ways to keep in true with people. It has difference kind of communication such as phone calls, video calls, send email, text message and voice notes. Most people use social networking sites to contact another people around the world because it is very popular and common activity in the society today. Also, social networking sites could help people to explain more information about works and studies.

Mobile phone

First and most important is that the mobile phone make our lives more convenient than before. We can contact to family members and friends whenever we want by message and calling. Also we it's easy for us to use some software in our phone to make new friends and communicate to others. It helps us to save time and plays more and more important role in our recent lives.
Social networking sites are the best way to help people to know about friends and family. The geographical and cultural barriers were something very difficult to break down, but nowadays the problem has been solved. These sites provide people a tool for knowing about the friends and family, not only if they are far away but also if it is impossible to interact face to face in a short distance. For example, if there is some student learning a foreign language in another country, the communication with the family and friends, today can be able. The social networking is a very good option to keep in touch with others.

Model Paragraphs

Dear Level 4G students,

Here are three body paragraphs related to the Level 4 themes.

  Remember:

1) A GOOD TOPIC SENTENCE IS CRUCIAL (can you remember the meaning of this word from yesterday's lesson???)

2) Focus on one topic ONLY in your paragraph (DON'T TRY to 'squeeze' too much into it.  Stick to the topic and don't go off track!!)

I have also included some websites which I think are useful and helpful as you prepare for the Level 4 writing test on Monday.

MODEL BODY PARAGRAPH 1
Social networking sites help shy people to communicate with others freely. There are many quiet and shy people who find it difficult to make new friends and to communicate with ease face to face.  These people are often lonely.  The popularity of social networking sites such as Facebook allow such people to socialise in a non-threatening way, and helps them to make new friends with similar interests to their own.  There is no doubt that many people on Facebook and Twitter have more cyber-friends than real friends.

MODEL BODY PARAGRAPH 2
Mobile phones present some very dangerous safety risks, although
many people ignore these.  Research has shown that there is significant danger for human health related to mobile phone usage.
For example, Cancer Institute studies have linked brain tumours to the frequent use of mobile phones. (NCI, 2012)  It is very important that governments, schools and parents educate young people about the potential risks of holding mobile phones close to their head.  Bluetooth devices could be used to minimize this potential health risk to human health.

MODEL BODY PARAGRAPH 3
Nuclear energy is a source of energy with abundant supplies. The entire world economy depends on oil and other fossil fuels. However experts have speculated these supplies will be exhausted by the end of the current century. In contrast, there are plentiful supplies of nuclear energy.  With careful consideration of safety issues and strict regulation, there is no doubt that they represent a feasible solution to the problem of energy resources facing the globe today.

GOOD LUCK!!!

Spanish omelette
(Tortilla de patatas)
By Albert

The Spanish omelette is perhaps one of the best-known Spanish dishes. It is impossible to find a self-respecting tapas bar that does not feature tortilla in its repertoire. There are a lot of ways to cook a good Spanish omelette.

There are also a lot of variations according to personal taste. Some cooks mix in mushrooms, beans, spinach and tomatoes, while others choose to omit the onion and instead cover the "tortilla" in tomato sauce or mounds of mayonnaise. Each region, and each tapas bar, will have its own variation of the traditional omelette. This delicious tapa can be served warm or cold.

Now FRIENDShere you have the original recipe, the recipe known generation by generation in Spain; "THE OLDEST RECIPE" in four steps. It's an easy dish to cook and very healthy.

INGREDIENTS: (For 4 people)

                                                                      8 large eggs
                                                                      4 potatoes
                                                                     1 botle of olive oil
                                                                      Salt
                                                                     1+ 1/2 onion
                                                                      HUNGRY

LETS GET TO WORK:

First: Cut the onion and potatoes in very small slices like in the photos under here. To cook quikly is better.

Second: Heat the olive oil (to cover the potatoes) in a pan and add the potato slices carefully, because the water will  make the oil splatter. Try to keep the potato slices separated so they will not stick together. Cook, turning occasionally, over medium heat for 5 minutes. Now, add the onion and cook until the mix are tender (15 minutes more). After, drain into a colander saving one fine cape of oil into the pan.

Thirth: In a large bowl, whisk the eggs with a pinch of salt (one per egg). Add the potatoes, and stir to coat with the egg. Add the egg-coated potatoes to the very hot oil in the pan, spreading them evenly to completely cover the base of the pan. If the oil isn't very hot the omelette could be bound. Lower the heat to medium and continue cook, shaking the pan frequently, until mixture is half set.

Fourth: Use a plate to cover the pan and turn it down, so that you can invert the omelette with the hand holding the plate (be carefull!! For not burning your hand with any escaping oil or pan!!). Repeat this action until the ommelet is cooked.

Don't worry if you are afraid to invert the omelette, you can put the pan in the oven and wait a few minutes until the top of the omelette is cooked, after that, there isn't any danger to invert the pan. It isn't spanish style!!!!!

The biggest disadvantage of social networking

Thanks to social networks, youngs are in a very dangerous position in front of the bullying attacks. Bullying is an aggressive behavior that youngs use through the force attacking others. In schools it doesn’t affect only to students, but also to teachers.

The Youngs have new technological instruments, unfortunately these are used to record awful attacks. Later, they use the social networks like “Youtube” to upload the Attacks in order to ridiculize their victims, but probably they don’t think about the concequences. The “film directors” are youngs with mental or educational problems like complexes and lack of parents’ education.

Unfortunately, in the last years these has become a youngs’ fashion. Perhaps, the best way to avoid these wrong social network facts is to report it to authorities. After the govermments will take hard measures like psycollogical treatments or social services.

What do you think about it?
Thanks for your time

Learning a Foreign Langnage

Now, more and more people go aboard for studying, working and traveling. Thus, language is a basic skill for a person when they leave their country . In my opinion , it is better to learn a foreign language in the country in which it is spoken.

First of all, studying in foreign country afford as a language environment. It will give more chances to communicate with local people, and it means more chances to improve your language skills. Instead, when studying in your own country  it is hard to progress quickly. In addition , studying in a local country means that you learn the local culture , and this will help you understand the language . Instead, if you study in your own country , you can just read ,speak and listen.Lastly no one likes just reading to language and understand a country . I think most people like to go by themselves to know about this language and culture.

To sum up, learning a foreign language in the country in which it is spoken is the best choice when learning a foreign language. And it will bring you a different experience for learning language.

Learning a foreign language

Learning a foreign language is one of demands of many people. They want to use it for travelling, finding a job or studying in countries where it is used. There are many ways to learn a foreign language. Many people have learned a foreign language in their own country, others have learned a foreign language in the country in which it is spoken. However learning a foreign language  in the country in which it is spoken is the best choice for many people.
Firstly people have learned a foreign language in the country where it is used everyday. If people live in a foreign country, they have to speak the foreign language because it is the only way to communicate and understand about the country where you are living. People can use and speak it everyday. Therefore it will improve their skills. Secondly when people have learned a foreign language in the country, they have many opportunities to discover about the customs and the culture os this country. Besides that, they can learn many things from the life or how foreigner work. It is one of the ways for people especially young people to find a good job in the future.
In conclusion, learning a foreign language in the country in which it is spoken is the best choices for people to practice and improve English skills.

The biggest disadvantage of social networking sites

Today the social networking sites bring many benefits for people. However it still remain some disadvantages. One of them is the risk of indentity theft and fraud. People who use the social networking sites can be attacked by the bad person. Because on the social networking sites, people often up date everything about the personal informations such as name, address or photos. The social networking is public so another people can steal and change your personal informalsons. It can be used for criminal purposes. Therefore be careful with informations that you want to up date. CORRECTED VERSION Today social networking sites bring many benefits for people, however some disadvantages still remain. One of them is the risk of identity theft and fraud. People who use social networking sites may be attacked by someone with bad intentions. As people often give personal information such as their name, address or photos onsocial networking sites and they are public, so another person could steal and change personal information for criminal purposes. Therefore it is important for people to be careful when adding personal information on their blog or facebook, for example.

learning a new language

learning a new language

Many people want to learn a new language all over the world. English has become the global language, it is the most widespread language  in the world. It is the language of modern times. I believe students who wants to learn English should study English in the country in which it is spoken English. There are a lot of reasons for that  issue. First, students who lives in countries which it is spoken English should use their language all the time. Next, to improve the person  language, he should communicate with other people. Finally, foreign countries have a lot of ways to learn their own language so it can develop the student language much better than any place. In conclusion, learning a new language is important and the best way to learn it is by travelling overseas.

Recycling is a morality but people who want recycling should be required by law is wrong. These people want to live in a good environement for life and study. Recytcling is one of the best way to keep the environement. But recycling has no need to become a law, people  learn recycling by education is better than required by law.~

Only very wealthy people should pay taxes

Today there are many people agree that only very wealthy people should pay taxes because they holding the most riches in the world. They should do more things for coutries because of their large wealth. The poors would get more opportunities to improve their lives. On the other hand, some people think that both of the rich and the poor should get the same responsibility to support their coutries to develop. So they should pay the taxes together.

In my opinion, all of the people in their countries should pay the taxes because they all get benefits from the communal facilities. But government can make some rules to get different tax levels offer the different income levels people.  The more rich they are, the more tax they should pay. It will be fair to keep the social balance.

All cars should have hybrid engines.

Now environmental pollution and energy pinch become the most important problem all over the world , and one of  the reason is car. If all cars can have hybrid engines will reduce pollution and save energy in a large degree, also it will relieve the pressure on environment. But maybe hybrid cars more expensive than cars use petrol, in addition hybrid cars ’s speed slower than cars use petrol.

In my opinion  government should encourage people to use hybrid cars, and all cars should have hybrid engines.

What do you think about Nuclear Power

Nuclear Power is somewhat a great invention of modern science. Also, many developed countries have created it because it is the sign of the huge achievement in the modern age of science. While Nuclear energy has numerous disadvantages , it has some drawbacks.
From my point of view,Nuclear energy damages Human Civilization.Furthermore, it is very dangerous and effective. For example, as we know that Hiroshima and Nagasaki events which happened in Japan for a while, this situation  have attacked by USA .They used atomic bombing as a part of Nuclear weapons. At the end of the war, Japanese died and became unbalanced in ecology.

However, Nuclear Power has maby benefits for human and our world  if we know how to use in order to develop and solve some solutions which are happening at the moment
.

If you have any opinions ,please share as much as possible.
